Hey Beautiful people! Happy Monday! Hope all is well. So this past weekend was the first annual All things Ankara fashion week here in the DMV area. For those not familiar with it, All things Ankara is a blog founded by Nicolette Orji (also known as Nikki Billie Jean) that showcases Ankara fashion from all over the world. This weekend the DMV area got a three day taste of All things Ankara! The three day showcase, which started on Thursday with an official media launch, consisted of a network mixer, pop up shop & high fashion fashion shows. I was only able to make it to Saturdays event but I'm glad I was able to make it to at least one event because it was well worth it.  I definitely enjoyed the display of different Ankara fashion and the event itself was well put together. I'm definitely looking forward to more events like this and wish Nikki continued success in all she is doing. Now on to my outfit. Since the theme was All things Ankara it was a no brainer that I had to wear something with ankara print. I paired my ankara pants that I got from Harlem market a few weeks ago with a sleek body suit from American Apparel and I was good to go! Here are a few pictures I took at the event below. Hey beautiful people!! Its been quite a minute hasn't it...Ahh it feels soo good to blog! Apologies for my absence, but I'm back! So it's currently DC Fashion week in the DMV so there have been several events going on throughout the week for it. Thursday night was the Fashion Industry and Networking party. After seeing a video of last year's event I thought it be fun to check it out and a good way to network with people who share similar interest as me. Unfortunately I arrived a little late to the event so I missed the fashion show that was held and I was a bit too shy to walk up to people I didn't know to network (I know you're thinking "So why did you go then?" lol) Well I think I would of had an easier time if it was less crowded in the venue and if the music wasn't so loud. But ohh well hopefully there will be other events in the future that I can attend. I did meet a lovely MUA artist on my way out though. Check out her blog here, she was a sweetheart! Afterwards we went to the Nando's near by which was the perfect way to end the night. Aint nothing better than good food! lol Overall it was a nice chill evening.
