Jazz in the Garden

Sunday, May 25, 2014

Hello again beautiful people! Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is enjoying their memorial day weekend so far! To kick off my three day weekend I attended Jazz in the Garden with my sisters and friends on Friday. For those not familiar with Jazz in the Garden, its an outdoor event held at the National Gallery of Art every Friday during the summer season. From great live jazz music to a relaxed atmosphere among beautiful sculptures, Jazz in the Garden in definitely a must during the summer season. Nothing better then a great atmosphere and good live music....for free! Lol

Since this was the first one of the season it was quite packed. When we got there we had to wait in line just to enter but once in it was well worth the wait. We enjoyed the sounds of Elikeh (an Afropop band that has gained a new fan by the way lol) by the water while sipping on our sangria's lol. Over all the evening was very pleasant and enjoyable. Going with the whole garden theme I wore my floral kimono that I styled awhile ago with a bright yellow chiffon maxi skirt. Here are a few pics from the evening below! What have you all been doing with your holiday weekend? Feel free to let me know! Till next post :)
