Hey beautiful people! Happy Monday! So as we all know summer brings a plethora of activities from graduation parties, cookouts, concerts, festivals, & of course weddings! Thats one of the reasons I just love summer! I always have a reason to get all dressed up and this weekend was no exception. I attended my friends wedding reception which was so much fun! It was a Nigerian wedding so you know you have to come correct lol. As we all know, the off the shoulder trend is pretty popular this season so I decided to have my tailor make a custom made off the shoulder dress for me. I got this beautiful material a few years ago but never knew what to make with it. I absolutely love the gold detail of the material and just knew it would look perfect with the off the shoulder style. Definitely want to style more off the shoulder pieces this summer. Hey beautiful people! Happy Friday! Hope everyone enjoyed their week. As I mentioned in my prior post my birthday was this past Wednesday (June 22). I'm so grateful that my brother and I have been blessed to see another year. I pray for God's continued blessings, long life, & good health! To celebrate our day, we had a small dinner with close family & friends down at National Harbor. It was truly a pleasant evening with the ones that I love. Although the restaurant had a semi casual dress code I felt like dressing up for my day so I wore this beautiful floral playsuit dress I got from boohoo. When I first saw this dress on the website I just knew it had to be my bday dress. I absolutely love everything about it! From the floral detail to the fact that its a playsuit & dress...its just the perfect combination of fabulousness lol. I finished off the look with these beautiful rose gold heels I got from Missguided and a dainty necklace I got from Lulu's & I was good to go! Here are some pictures from the evening below. Hey beautiful people! Happy Monday! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I surely did! I spent my Sunday visiting the Botanical Gardens with my sisters. DC has soo much to offer so its always nice to head down there and explore. It was such a treat being there. It reminded me of all the tropical places we've been and got me excited for our next vacation coming up later this year! I recommend visiting the gardens if you live in the DMV area or come down here to visit. Its definitely a little "faux" vacation away from reality & who doesn't like vacations away from reality? lol Of course I knew we would be taking plenty of pics so I decided to wear this beautiful tropical maxi dress that I previously styled here. I thought it would be perfect considering the fact that I knew we would be surrounded by beautiful plant life. Here are some pictures from the day below. Hope you enjoy! Hey beautiful people! Happy Sunday!! Hope everyone is enjoying whats left of the weekend. As I mentioned in my previous post I advised that I would be attending Beyonces concert on Friday. I only have one word to describe that night....A M A Z I N G!!!! My goodness I wish everyday could just be a Beyonce concert lol The pure energy and entertainment that lady exudes is unexplainable! If you have never attended a Beyonce concert please make it a mission in life to lol. You will not regret it, trust me. She never disappoints! I literally stood throughout the whole show. I really hope she goes to Made in America this summer cause I will be there in a heartbeat! lol Because I knew I would be dancing the whole night I decided to keep my look cute and comfortable with this romper I got from Boohoo. Like coordinate sets, I love rompers because you don't have to put much thought into planning an outfit. Just pair it with cute jewelry and you're good to go.
